In celebration of all things baking and cooking we thought we would share our wisdom about the perfect recipe for being a great sales person. Oh and not forgetting that we love cakes too!

Ingredients

  • 2 x ears
  • 1 x mouth
  • Lots of listening skills
  • 4 x heaped table spoons of great questioning techniques
  • 4 teaspoons of self-belief
  • 1 cup of resilience
  • 200ml of a desire to help
  • A large dash of the right behaviours

Method

Mix the 2 ears, 1 mouth and listening skills to the questioning techniques and stir vigorously.

Then add the resilience, belief and desire to help, continuing to stir until they form a solid consistency.

Place in the oven and cook until it has risen to the challenge.

Results may vary depending on the quality of ingredients used but if you stick to the basics you will turn out a great salesperson.

Like all baking your own variations will help, but keeping an eye on the process is key. Not enough time and your results are half baked and everyone is disappointed. Too much time and its crispy round the edge and generally frazzled, not a great look for a salesperson or a cake!

Investing in the best quality ingredients is always a great place to start from.

Time spent on getting the mix right and giving some love and attention to the process will make all of the difference.

Quality control is key, testing and checking along the way (chefs perks) to make sure the quality of the product right the way through is what the very best do.

We hope you enjoy this recipe but if you have any other variations on the mixture then please let us know. It's great to share ideas and recipes.

Everyone has a favourite recipe and every person (customer) has different tastes. That's why so many recipes for cakes (and sales people) exist. No one mix is right, no single approach for selling is right, you need to be able to cater to the end users' needs and wants.

Get this right and you will have everyone coming back for seconds!
