We have been successfully based here for the past 17 years. We are a team of 24 and we have our eye to the future. The business landscape is changing on an almost daily basis - an understatement in anybody’s book!

We have a great reputation with our customers and the users of our services – believe us we do, we can even prove it to you.

We deliver a range of programmes funded by various funding streams including European Regional Development Fund (including North East Business Support Fund and Business Compass Leadership and Management Programme).

Why are we looking for an experienced Marketing Manager right now?

We have an eye to the future and want to ensure we best-position our business to be able to help deliver the agendas of the Region, both devolved and non-devolved.

We have done well but we don’t want to rest on our laurels, how can we engage with individuals thinking about starting a business; the new businesses; the established businesses and Providers more effectively?

We have just completed a review of our marketing activity and needs. Your role would include implementing our marketing strategy and making recommendations. Some of your activities would be project specific and may be part funded through European Structural Investment Funds (European Regional Development Fund and/or European Social Fund), others will be more company specific.

What do we need you to do?

We need you to ‘hit the ground running’. Reporting to the senior management team your role will include:-

  • Implementing and developing our marketing strategy for both company and specific individual project activity.
  • Analysing data and planning future strategy and activity accordingly.
  • Liaising with other team members to ensure consistent messages are communicated through all channels.
  • Manage and develop the NBSL and partner brands.
  • Plan, collate and manage all marketing content throughout our website and social media channels.
  • Develop and schedule content and engage accordingly through our key social media channels including Facebook; LinkedIn; Twitter and Instagram.
  • Plan and organise our series of partner and SME business events.
  • Implement and manage the NBSL PR campaign.
  • ESIF specific activities: marketing objective - increase the number and strength of eligible applications to the identified project.

NBSL is a small company we are flexible in how we work and we are keen to make sure that there is a good work life balance. We need you to :

  • Have relevant experience in similar marketing position particularly b2b experience.
  • Have experience of content marketing and social media management.
  • Be capable of implementing our current strategy as well as making recommendations for the future.
  • Experience of working with CRM would also be useful.
  • Be a confident individual and a great communicator.
  • Be an independent, effective and hardworking individual.
  • Have a strong character and personality – we do!
  • Be a self-starter.
