Fitness app grows thanks to specialist help funded by NBSL.
Fitstream, based in Newcastle, is a health and fitness applications developer for iOS and Android. Formed in 2006 by two North East digital specialists, Fitstream also sells its own fitness equipment online targeting consumers around the world.
Business Need
The user experience, journey and conversion rate optimisation within the website was essential to the successful adoption of users. So the visual design and user experience of the Fitstream.com website and supporting iOS application needed expert development to ensure strong sales.
Solutions
Specialist skills including front end development, CSS coding, development of application / website wireframes and visual design were required to get the best possible platform for sales. The North East Business Support Fund supported the cost of bringing in two Providers to deliver the development project with Fitstream.
Impact
The first version of the application has launched impressively on iOS and without any marketing has garnered over 300+ downloads in 1 month.
