A collaborative partnership formed with NBSL and Northumberland College will offer business and educational support to both start up and existing rural businesses and budding entrepreneurs aged between 16 to 24 and the over 50's.

The hubs will be based in the garden of the attractive National Park headquarters at Eastburn and Adapt headquarters on Burn Lane to support local businesses and people wishing to start up new businesses.

The Eastburn hub will be a competitively-priced, high quality office complex with exceptional facilities close to Hexham town centre with nine new offices and a communal space for open networking. The hub is ideally suited to companies operating in the knowledge-based sectors in, for example recruitment, marketing and other professional and technical services. The hub will also look to attract environmental, tourism and educational businesses.

The Adapt hub will be based in a former council highways depot encompassing nine new workshop units. Four existing offices and a meeting area within the main office complex will also be included in the hub, close to the town centre. It will target businesses of a more traditional manufacturing nature and social enterprises.

Both sites hope to be operational by April 2014.

Early enquiries will be very much welcome for both sites and should be directed to Colin Wilson at Northumberland National Park Authority on 01434 611506 and Liz Prudhoe 01434 600599 at Adapt.
