Small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in Tyne & Wear and Northumberland are continuing to benefit from the funding available through Northumbria University to employ full-time a recent graduate (i.e. someone who graduated in the last 5 years).
The opportunity to apply for the funding from Northumbria will soon be ending as every graduate must be legally employed. This means applications from SMEs for the funding should be submitted to the University potentially no later than mid-February to allow time for the University to advertise the vacancies and for the businesses to interview before the end of March.
Many of the businesses benifitting from the funding have less than 20 staff, including many with less than 5 employees across many different business sectors. The graduates are currently successfully filling various roles related to their studies such as marketing, engineering, business, design, computer science, law, finance, the arts, research etc.
While time is running out to apply for the funding the application form is very easy and it only takes about 15-20 minutes to complete plus the job description.
