Consett-based business, The Cleaning Fairy Ltd, continues to sparkle thanks to funding from the North East Business Support Fund.
Since starting the business in 2012, the organisation has seen rapid growth in both its domestic and commercial divisions and owner Emma Goff has been able to rely on NBSL to support her as her micro business has grown to a 20-person strong SME.
Having supported the business since its early days, NBSL has been able to provide Emma with a range of masterclasses and funding to help build her business – and her confidence.
Recognising the potential for growth through improved digital marketing, Emma has accessed the North East Business Support Fund to work with marketing experts, Elm Marketing Solutions, to support the ambitious business.
An updated brand, new website and improved social media use has seen their client base grow 10-fold but Emma recognises that it’s not just the funding that has made the difference.
“Attending masterclasses run by NBSL has been crucial – the funding has been great but the expertise and support provided has been priceless. The NBSL team – with their personal touch – provided me with the knowledge of how to run a business – as well as the confidence to grow my business with success.” Said Emma.
With the North East Business Support Fund programme in its final year, NBSL have been able to look at how they can make sure they support businesses quickly and provide aspirational sessions that could lead to the development of growth plans or projects that could receive up to 40% funding.
