Innovation funding for SME’s and Social Enterprises working and based in Northumberland, Newcastle or North Tyneside is available now.
The Innovation Recovery Grant has been launched by the North of Tyne Combined Authority following the impact of COVID-19 and the need for business support and is being delivered by NBSL in partnership with Innovation SuperNetwork.
The Innovation Recovery Grant covers 50% of eligible business spend towards Innovation Projects totalling between £10,000 and £20,000 (excluding VAT). Grants of between £5,000 and £10,000 are available and could include:
External expertise
The grant could cover costs towards external expertise to help deliver innovative solutions to the business or provide consultancy that helps enter new markets. Design, development, coaching or consultancy support that will help the business to deliver their innovation project are eligible.
New equipment
The grant could cover costs towards bringing innovation alive within the business through the use of technology could also be supported – helping companies adapt or adopt new technology. Please note replacement equipment cannot be funded.
Funded through the North of Tyne Recovery Innovation Fund, this new grant programme has been designed to help businesses grow by adopting innovative practice or by bringing innovative products or services to market through consultancy.
