Executive Director of International Trade at the North East England Chamber of Commerce, Julie Underwood discusses how North East businesses can capitalise on a free online training programme, to position themselves for international success!
The Export Academy, set up by Department for International Trade (DIT) North East, is a free programme specifically designed to help North East businesses acquire the knowledge and skills required to sell products and services overseas successfully.
Over the past 18 months, the way we do business has changed significantly. The Export Academy has been designed with this in mind. North East businesses have the opportunity to tailor how the virtual programme is delivered to accommodate your busy workload and training needs, from half day workshops, to one-hour bitesize sessions.
From firms new to international trade, to those already trading, but needing to upskill staff or requiring a knowledge refresh, the Export Academy allows companies to learn directly from international trade experts. Supporting businesses of all sizes and sectors, with varying degrees of experience.
In addition to the training programme, businesses who attend the sessions also receive a bespoke support package. Delegates will be guided through how to create and develop an Export Action Plan to position your business for export success, along with access to a tailored virtual events programme.
Whatever your business does, wherever it wants to sell and wherever you are on your export journey, the North East Export Academy is the ideal starting point to help you grow your international customer base effectively.
